Media registration

Media representatives wishing to attend the Orienteering World Cup - please fill in the Media Registration Form and send it to the British Orienteering Federation bofin order to obtain a media accreditation pass.

Media facilities

At each race arena:

  • Press marquee/room with tables, chairs and refreshments, sited adjacent to finish
  • WiFi (802.11 b/g) networkaccess to the Arena intranet giving live results, radio control times, splits, photos and more. SSID=WCUP2005
  • Broadband internet access via a satellite link. The connection will provide 128kbit/sec uplink during the races and from 30 minutes after the races this will increase to 512kbit/sec. This link will be shared with all other accreditedmedia personnel.
  • PC and printer
  • Hard copy start lists and results
  • Spectator controls
  • Supervised access to the forest at dedicated sites
  • Display of courses and maps after last starter
  • Press conference with winners
  • Mobile phone network access is estimated as follows: Day 1, Sprint Qualifier - assume all available; Day 2, Relay - vodafone; Day 3, Long - Vodafone, Orange, O2; Day 4, Sprint Final - assume all; Day 5, Middle - O2, Orange intermittent, NOT Vodafone
