How much do you train each week?

10-16 hours; 8-12 sessions.

How do you split the training between speed training and technique?

Speed - winter/spring - off-season.

Technique - summer - racing season - 3 sessions a week.

Is there one tip that has particularly helped to improve your performance?

Believe in yourself and your dreams.

What indulgences (if any) did you have to give up?

Living in the UK (lived in Norway for many years until recently); jelly babies.

What do you do to relax?

Reading; eat chocolate.

What areas do you like orienteering in most?

Holmbury Hill; Leith Hill; Winterfold; Mytchett.

O-Ringen Super Elite 2003; OK Nuts Trophy 2004.

How do you run so fast through terrain without falling over or twisting an ankle?

Strength training; terrain training.

Was there any other sport you enjoyed when you were at school and had to give up to concentrate on orienteering?

It's important to do lots of other sport - good cross-training; like to do adventure racing.

Yes, county standard.
