Varies; around 10 hours.

How do you split the training between speed training and technique?

Less speed in winter; more technique and speed in summer; lots in terrain; technique is more enjoyable.

Check your control codes.

Playing guitar in a band.

Cinema - lots!

What areas do you like orienteering in most?

Tough ones - Docharn, Wharncliffe etc.

Yes, today's Trail Challenge!; British Middle Distance Champion 2003.

How do you run so fast through terrain without falling over or twisting an ankle?

Not sure; used to tape my ankles, but they've strengthened.

Was there any other sport you enjoyed when you were at school and had to give up to concentrate on orienteering?

Football and cross-country - but did not do as much as orienteering.

Yes, at school; was county standard.
